Priyanka Chopra isn't the only Bollywood star taking over Hollywood. Deepika Padukone also an Indian is making her way to Tinseltown.
The actress is set to star alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, and now we've got our first look at the duo together in character.
“First day of filming… Xander and Serena audience hit P.s. 17 million beautiful souls. Thanks for the love,” Diesel wrote on Instagram yesterday.
The original xXx starred Diesel as Xander Cage, an extreme sports athlete who gets enlisted by the government to work as a spy. Though a was sequel, xXx: State of the Union, was released in 2005, Diesel did not star and it failed to garner much interest from moviegoers. The third film in the installment will follow Xander as he secretly undertakes another mission.
“The Director, producers and myself sitting in wonder as we take in the artistry of the many craftsmen that have built these amazing sets. You can tell the first day what level of crew you will be working with and it is clear that xXx has the very best,” Diesel wrote in another Facebook post “Grateful for the opportunity to make magic.”
Though Deepika has starred in a number of Bollywood films (including a couple with Priyanka Chopra!), xXx: The Return of Xander Cage marks her Hollywood debut. She has been tapped to portray the huntress, Serena.
